Angola, officially the Republic of Angola, is a country in west Africa, whose mainland is bordered to the north and northeast by the Democratic Republic of Congo, Zambia to the east, the south by Namibia and west by the Atlantic Ocean.
Angola's climate is characterized by two seasons: rainy, from October to April and the dry, known for Cacimbo, from May to August, driest, as the name implies, and with lower temperatures.
Portuguese is the official language of Angola. Among the African languages spoken in the country, few have the status of national languages. These as well as other African languages are spoken by their ethnicities and have corresponding ethnic subgroups dialects.
Angola is a country at peace with various business opportunities. It has numerous natural resources, including oil, natural gas, copper, phosphate, diamonds, zinc, aluminum, gold, iron, silicon, uranium, fedespato, etc, and a very rich flora and fauna in wood and marine resources.
During the last 10 years the Angolan economy grew rapidly in the average of 18% per year, considering as one of the most dynamic economies in the world.
This is mainly due to higher oil production than doubled to 875 million barrels per day in 2003 to 1.9 million barrels per day in 2008 and average annual growth of non-oil sectors in the order of 19%.
On the other hand, the economic policies adopted by the Angolan government that provide for the elimination of restrictions on the supply of goods and services, tax incentives for productive investment and new private investment law have given good results, why the Republic of Angola lies on top of the fastest growing countries in Africa and better conditions in which to invest.
